1/64 Western Star 49X w/ 40' Container

Western Star 49X with trailer and 40' "EVERGREEN" Reefer Container. LHD prime mover has a metal cab and plastic chassis. Heavy weigh trailer has a metal chassis (with some small plastic parts), and wind-down stands. Container is all metal, and has opening doors. Overall length of set is 28cm (11"). Due to its metal content, this set weighs in at approx. 630 grams. An awesome model.

1/72 1943 Fw 190A-4 Luftwaffe Ace "Wumm" Schnell

Focke-Wulf Fw 190A "Butcher Bird" Luftwaffe 9./JG 2 Richtofen, France. Major Siegfried Schnell. Formidable Fw 190 with a fierce armament package that earned it the nickname "Butcher Bird". Schnell scored his first victory in May 1940, had amassed 20 victories by November, and shot down 9 Spitfires in just 2 days in July 1941 to bring up 45 victories. In August 1942 he shot down five Spitfires to reach his 70th victory, making him an "ace-in-a-day" for the second time. Schnell had 93 victories when he was KIA in February 1944. Diecast metal construction with some plastic parts. Realistic surface details and pad printed markings. Sliding canopy and removable pilot figure. Limited Edition of 600. includes a display stand. Vought A-7E Corsair II US Navy Attack Squadron 93 (VA-93) Blue Blazers, USS Midway. Designed as a longer-range, higher-payload replacement for the A-4 Skyhawk, the A-7 entered service during the Vietnam war. It's leading edge technologies included the first use of a turbofan engine, and "head-up" display. Diecast metal model with some plastic parts. Douglas Skyhawk A-4 operated by the US Navy from 1967 to 1970, including the Vietnam War. Served with the Royal Australian Navy from 1971 to 1983. Sold and redesignated as RNZAF NZ6216 in 1984. Converted to a “K” variant in 1990, and remained operational until December 2001. Donated to the Omaka Aviation Museum in 2012. Diecast metal model with some plastic parts. The Gloster Javelin is a twin-engine T-tailed delta-wing subsonic aircraft that served with Britain's Royal Air Force from the mid-1950s until the late 1960s. The Javelin was the last aircraft design to bear the Gloster name, and was the RAF's first purpose-built all-weather interceptor. FAW 9R's (R standing for "Range") were fitted to carry under-wing fuel tanks. Javelin FAW9R XH892 served with 23 and 64 Squadrons and is now on permanent display at the Norfolk and Suffolk Aviation Museum Flixton, Suffolk, England. Approx. 24.5cm x 22cm (9.5" x 8.5"). Republic P-47D Thunderbolt 28RA ‘Dottie Mae’, 410th USSAF, pilot Lt Henry Mohr. High-altitude fighter and ground attack fighter-bomber. Its primary armament was eight .50-caliber machine guns, and it could carry 5-inch rockets or a bomb load of 2,500 lb (1,100 kg). “Dottie Mae" was the last Allied fighter to be lost before the end of the war in Europe. Unfortunately she was lost through mishap, rather than enemy action. Happily the pilot escaped unscathed. Diecast metal model with some plastic parts. Has rotating prop and Pilot figure. Panavia Tornado GR.1 ZA591/FN strike/attack aircraft of RAF No.16 Squadron, Laarbruch, RAF Germany. In an all-over black scheme to mark the squadron's 75th Anniversary, as seen at Mildenhall Air Fete, Suffolk, May 1990. Arguably the most distinctive scheme it wore during its extensive Royal Air Force service. The squadron was originally formed in 1915 at Saint-Omer France, and were a referred to as 'The Saints'. The distinctive stick man with halo logo was applied to many of the squadron's post war jets. Part of Corgi's Commemorative Service Withdrawal Collection. Approx. 24cm x 18cm (9.5" x 7"). Fantastic model for the price.
