Fighter Squadron FOURTEEN has seen continous active service since September 1919, making it the US Navy's oldest active squadron. VF-14 transitioned to the new F-14A Tomcat fighter in January 1974, and remained a highly accomplished, highly decorated, F14 squadron until December 2001.
